Connect Expiro to Zapier

Trigger Zaps when a contract is added or about to expire, or create contracts in Expiro from your other apps. No code required.

What you can do

Zapier connects Expiro to thousands of other apps. Expiro offers two triggers and one action.

Type Name Fires / does
Trigger New Contract Runs your Zap whenever a contract is added to your account.
Trigger Contract Expiring Soon Runs your Zap when a contract is approaching its end date.
Action Create Contract Adds a new contract to Expiro from another app.

Example uses: post new contracts to a Slack channel, add a row to a Google Sheet when a renewal is coming up, or create an Expiro contract from a signed document in your e-signature tool.

Step 1 - Create an API token

Zapier connects to Expiro with an API token. In Expiro, an account admin opens Settings → API and creates a token.

Tick write access if you plan to use the Create Contract action. Reading (both triggers) works with any token. The full token is shown once on creation, so copy it straight away and keep it somewhere safe.

Step 2 - Add Expiro to your Zapier account

The Expiro Zapier app is currently in private access. Email support@expiro.io and we will send you the invite link to add Expiro to your Zapier account.

Step 3 - Build a Zap and connect your account

In Zapier, create a new Zap and pick Expiro as the trigger or action app. When Zapier asks you to connect an account:

  1. Choose API Key (bearer token) authentication.
  2. Paste the token you created in Step 1.
  3. Zapier verifies the token and links your Expiro account.

Once connected, finish setting up the trigger or action and turn the Zap on. You can reuse the same connection across every Zap.

Create Contract - fields

When you map fields from another app into the Create Contract action:

Field Required Notes
name Yes A name for the contract.
client_name No The client or counterparty.
end_date No The expiry date (YYYY-MM-DD). Needed for renewal alerts.
value No Contract value, as a number.
currency No Three-letter code, for example USD.

A token without write access returns an error on this action; give it write access in Step 1.

Prefer to build it yourself?

Everything Zapier does here runs on the same public API. If you would rather call it directly, the endpoints, authentication and rate limits are in the API documentation .

Need a token? Head to Settings → API in your account. Stuck? Email support@expiro.io.
